Our Story
Bushy Park Ironworks began its journey back in 1990 when Edward Bisgood and Colm Bagnall shared a Vision – To create the finest architectural ironwork company in the country.
What a better place to begin this odyssey than in the last remaining working forge in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. Due to expansion, we moved to our present purpose built workshops and design studios in 1996.
Both of us recognised very quickly that to realise our Vision, success would not only be vested in the hammer and anvil but moreover in the knowledge and skill of the artisans that wielded these tools. So for the last two and a half decades we have invested a great deal of our time and effort in supporting, nurturing and enhancing the talents of our craftsmen and women.
These principles have provided us with the opportunity to work with private clients, leading architects, specifiers and designers’ resulting in what we believe is, the creation of functional art and works of breath-taking brilliance and durability.
Our craft is one of the oldest crafts in human history, rooted in the four elements; fire, water earth and air. While firmly grounded in a tradition that goes back to the dawn of time, we welcome diversity in our craft and are ever attuned to the use of new techniques and materials.
We have achieved great things by standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us…
